JULY 28:  REGULAR SEASON CONCLUSION & PLAYOFF / CHAMPIONSHIP SESSION UPDATE

Dear Players and Families,

We are excited that every team will have the opportunity to play in our final session of the season this Tuesday July 28.

Due to the cancellation of two scheduled league sessions as a result of weather-related events, the regular season will conclude based on the games completed to date, and the league will conduct a doubleheader featuring playoff, championship and consolation games.

In the 11–13 age division, the top four teams will compete in the playoffs, while the 5th and 6th place teams will meet in a season-ending matchup.

This format allows us to complete the season on schedule and finish the year with an exciting day of football for all participants.

We look forward to a great finish to the season.

WEATHER EVACUATION PLAN:

Here is what you need to know:

Early Cancellations

• Sometimes we need to cancel a session early.
• This will occur if there is a Weather Alert or the fields are not usable.▪If either event occurs you will receive an email at 6pm and our website will indicate that the session has been cancelled.

At Field Cancellations

• We play in the rain.
• Cancellation of a session in the event of a thunderstorm will be called at the field with the use of a air horn.

OVERTIME RULES (playoffs only)

There are special rules for playoff games that end in a tie and go into overtime.

CONCUSSION PROTOCOL

It’s important to stay safe when you play sports. When it comes to concussions, remember:

1. Recognize signs and symptoms of a concussion and stop activity immediately, even if you think you might be OK.
2. Get checked out by a physician or nurse practitioner.
3. Gradually return to school and sport.
